RAY E. SUMMERS
A former Chanute resident, Ray E. Summers,
70, Vallejo, Calif., died Wednesday in a
San Francisco, Calif., hospital after several months of illness.
Born in Chanute, he lived here
until the early 1940's. He was married Sept. 3, 1926, in Garnett,
to Marie Stewart Crismond,
who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Anita Crismond
Roby, San Francisco; two
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Howard Summrs,
Wichita; Donald
Summers, Colonial Acres Nursing Home; Monte
Summers, 310 S. Rutter; Kenneth Summers,
1207 W. 4th; a sister, Buna Rauhoff, Colonial Acres.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at
Wiggans Funeral Home, Vallejo.
